MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA –  Meet Ankush Gurjarkar, a six year old boy who was born with a clubfoot. He struggled to walk by himself and needed the help of his three siblings to walk to school. He would often be teased by his classmates which broke his mother’s heart. Though Ankush was in constant pain, and fell very often while trying to move around, he was always happy and cheerful!

Ankush’s father, being the only breadwinner of the house couldn’t afford proper surgery for his son. One of the many hospitals they visited, suggested using a plaster cast to correct his foot, but that just made it worse. Ankush’s mother was devastated as she saw her son’s childhood pass by him as he suffered in pain. One day his parents learned about Operation Blessing and reached out for help.
