Responding to the disaster-a destructive tropical cyclone YAAS, a team from Operation Blessing India provided an immediate relief to 50 fishermen families in Ghoramora and Mousuni islands with ready to eat protein and nutrition kits that included – flattened rice, puffed rice, roasted gram flour, chickpeas, jaggery and biscuits. To combat the disease that contaminated water would surely bring, Terafil water filters that need no electricity to run were given to the families as the flood had contaminated their water sources. Terafil water filters are basically used at places where the water is full of sediments, suspended particles, iron and many micro-organisms, which are the main causes of water-contamination diseases. Water from dug wells, ponds, tube wells and rivers can easily be purified in this water filter.
