                     Akash is all smiles at the Children’s home

Separation from a family member either due to death or other causes is always painful even for grown-ups.  How much more would it be for a child? Akash is one such child who came to Father’s Delight Children Home in Kholapur with a heavy heart. It showed on his face, he barely smiled and always seem to be disturbed. His mother was in jail and he missed her a lot.

The staff at the Children home along with the children warmly welcomed him. They showed him the kind of love he needed and soon enough it started showing results. In just a few months he was like any other normal child, eager to play with his new friends and an expression of joy that is found on every child. With the second chance he got for a happy life Akash set to chart his own path for life. He studies well at school and though from a Hindu background, he prays.

Another occasion came where he was made to feel special; just the way he is in God’s eyes. The occasion was his birthday. The children were very happy to celebrate his birthday. Amidst laughter and giggles, a joyful lot wished and sang for Akash at the Chipri Boys Home. Because it was the birthday of one of the ex-students - Girish, son of the warden of the home, it was a double treat for everyone. Akash and Girish cut the cake together while others clapped and sang the birthday song. 

Akash was very happy to celebrate his birthday in such an unexpected way. He was thrilled with the arrangements. Pastor. Arun S. Ranbhise and Mrs. Shubhangi Ranbhise came to Boys Home and prayed specially for Akash and Girish on this occasion.

The expression of joy bursting out into hope on Akash’s face made it worth all the efforts put into the celebration.
